Overall, the quality of drinking water supplied by sanitary authorities in public water supplies was found to be satisfactory with 96.0 per cent of all tests carried out being acceptable…
In contrast to public water supplies, the quality of water supplied by group water schemes, supplying about 145,000 rural households in Ireland, continues to be unsatisfactory with only 89.5 per cent of all tests carried out being acceptable.
